This Privacy Policy describes how PopClock ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile game application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using PopClock, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

PopClock is designed to be privacy-friendly. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to play the game.

1.2 Information Automatically Collected

When you use the App, we automatically collect the following types of information:

Game Progress Data: Your high scores, unlocked skins, and game preferences are stored locally on your device to enhance your gaming experience.
Device Information: We collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID / IDFA) to serve personalized advertisements through Google AdMob.
Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you interact with the App, such as session duration and feature usage, to help us improve the game.
Purchase History: If you make In-App Purchases, a record of your purchased content is stored locally on your device. Apple or Google handles all payment processing.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be transparent about what we don't collect:

We do NOT collect your name, email address, or phone number
We do NOT collect your precise location data
We do NOT access your camera, photos, or contacts
We do NOT track you across other apps or websites
We do NOT collect any financial or payment information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Game Functionality: To save your progress, high scores, and unlocked skins locally on your device
In-App Purchases: To provide you with purchased content and features (payment processed by Apple/Google)
Advertising: To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
App Improvement: To understand how users interact with the App and improve the gaming experience

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob

PopClock displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID and other device information to show personalized ads. AdMob's data collection and use are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

3.2 App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS devices running iOS 14.5 or later, PopClock requests your permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites for personalized advertising purposes. This permission is requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

What this means:

If you Allow Tracking: You will receive personalized advertisements based on your interests and activity
If you Ask App Not to Track: You will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity across other apps

You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device settings: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → PopClock

3.3 In-App Purchases

PopClock may offer optional In-App Purchases (IAP) for additional skins, power-ups, or other digital content. All In-App Purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store payment systems.

Important Information:

Payment Processing: We do NOT collect, store, or process your payment information. All transactions are handled securely by Apple or Google
Purchase History: Your purchase history is stored by Apple or Google, not by us. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was successful
Restore Purchases: You can restore your previous purchases on a new device using the "Restore Purchases" option in the app
Refunds: Refund requests must be made through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store according to their refund policies

We store a record of your unlocked content locally on your device to provide you with the purchased features. This information is not shared with third parties.

3.4 Opting Out of Personalized Ads

You can opt out of personalized advertising by:

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads (toggle OFF)
iOS (Tracking): Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → PopClock (toggle OFF)
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

Your game progress (scores, unlocked skins, settings) is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

4.2 Security Measures

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4.3 Data Retention

Game progress data is stored on your device until you uninstall the App or clear the App's data. Advertising data is retained according to Google AdMob's policies.

5. Children's Privacy

PopClock is appropriate for all ages, including children. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
We do NOT require users to provide any personal information to play
All advertisements shown in the App comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and are family-friendly

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Control

You can:

View your game progress and settings within the App
Clear your game data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device settings
Opt out of personalized ads (see Section 3.2)

6.2 California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information about the categories of personal information we collect and how we use it. Since we collect minimal data and do not sell personal information, most CCPA provisions do not apply. However, you can contact us with any privacy questions.

6.3 European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

Since PopClock stores data locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

Your information, including device identifiers used for advertising, may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top
Providing an in-app notification for significant changes

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
